The Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Safety is hosting a 3-hour workshop on measurement and data display in quality improvement work on Monday, March 11th from 9 am – 12 pm at the Smilow Center for Translational Research, 12th floor conference room 146AB. The following learning objectives will be presented:
- Understand the similarities and differences between classic statistical methods and the statistics of quality control.
- Differentiate the two types of variation: Common Cause and Special Cause
- Choose and create the appropriate type of control chart for your data.
- Interpret control charts to assess change in performance.
