The Center for Health Improvement and Patient Satety (CHIPS) will host an Advanced QI Data Workshop  on Monday, March 11th, 9 am – 12 pm, Smilow Center for Translational Research, 12th floor conference room.

Dr. April Taylor MS, MHA, CPPS, CPHQ; Assistant Director, Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Safety (CHIPS);Director of Quality and Patient Safety for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, will be presentingo n the following objectives:.

• Understand the similarities and differences between classic statistical methods and the statistics of quality control.
•  Differentiate the two types of variation: Common Cause and Special Cause
•  Choose and create the appropriate type of control chart for your data.
• Interpret control charts to assess change in performance.
