RE:                  Call for Penn Medicine Awards of Excellence Nominations

The Penn Medicine Awards of Excellence are an annual opportunity to recognize the distinguished mentoring, professionalism, research, and clinical achievements of our faculty. Nominations are now open, and we strongly encourage you to submit candidates for awards.

At Penn Medicine, our commitment to excellence defines everything we do and establishes us as a national and international leader in research, education, and patient care.  Our dedication to both intellectual achievement and compassion is manifest in the achievements of our outstanding faculty. To be recognized for outstanding achievement by peers is amongst the greatest honors a professional can receive.  The Penn Medicine Awards of Excellence were established in 1996 for this reason and have recognized over 200 faculty members for their extraordinary achievements. The awardees for these highly competitive awards range from those at the beginning of their highly promising careers to those whose distinguished work has spanned decades. Penn Medicine is committed to promoting inclusion and diversity in the awards selection process. Recognizing that selections can be influenced by implicit biases around the gender, ancestry, ethnicity, and sexual orientation of candidates, the Selection Committee for each award grouping has been structured to promote a diverse slate of nominations and awardees.

Details about the awards, nominating process, and the submission form can be found here: https://www.med.upenn.edu/awards-of-excellence Please note that all awards must be submitted as a single PDF through either this site or this direct link: https://upenn.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_88s3IcGNsiNpLRc

Nominations will be accepted through June 17, 2022.  Awards will be presented at a ceremony in the Fall.  Each recipient will receive a certificate and a $3,000 prize.  Names of all recipients will be memorialized on plaques on the Penn Medicine campus.
