Cardiovascular Research Services available through the Center for Human Phenomic Science (CHPS)

The Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) wants to be sure you are all aware of the cardiovascular research services that are available through the Center for Human Phenomic Science.

Our goals are to provide ready access to research-grade noninvasive imaging acquisition and post-hoc quantitation to investigators across the medical center – at HUP, PCAM, and PPMC.

We offer the following services: resting 2D and 3D echocardiography including strain and contrast imaging, exercise echocardiography, cardiopulmonary stress testing, arterial structure/function assessment, endothelial function assessment, and mitochondrial function testing. We are also readily available to consult on customized protocol design for resting and provoked studies.

These services are available to all researchers for any clinical studies (Phase I-III). Any imaging studies in adults will be performed by the Penn Center for Quantitative Echocardiography and Center for Human Phenomic Science staff, which has extensive experience in imaging acquisition and quantitation. Our goals are to offer high quality data in a cost effective and efficient manner.
