CEET Pilot Project Program, Spring 2024 I Call for Applications

The Center of Excellence in Environmental Toxicology (CEET) is currently accepting applications for the following pilot project opportunities:

 

Focused Research Award

Applications related to the four Thematic Areas of the CEET: 

  • Air Pollution & Lung Health
  • Environmental Exposures & Cancer
  • Windows-of-Susceptibility
  • Environmental Neuroscience

Applicants can request up to $50,000 for one year.

 

Opportunity Award

Applications addressing climate change and human health or proposing innovative environmental health or toxicology research, or innovative technologies are encouraged! Climate Change and Human Health applications can address, but are not limited to the following:

  • Basic science proposals on stress response
  • Climate modeling and health outcomes
  • Community outreach and susceptibility
  • Environmental exposures exacerbated by climate change

Applicants can request up to $50,000 for one year.

 

Rapid Response Awards

1. Request to Obtain Needed Preliminary Data - Provides up to $10,000 to obtain needed data to support a revised NIH grant application.

2. Community Engagement Rapid Pilot Project - Provides up to $10,000 to respond to a community-based environmental health concern.

 

Please Note:

  • No salary support for the faculty member is allowable. Any standing or research faculty from any Penn School may apply.

 

  • Projects involving children’s environmental health will be directed to the Philadelphia Regional Center for Children’s Environmental Health (PRCCEH) for consideration first and if they are declined CEET will consider the application for funding.
