CEET Pilot Project Program, Summer 2022 - Call for Applications 

The Center of Excellence in Environmental Toxicology is currently accepting applications for the following four different types of pilot project opportunities.

 

Applications are due Friday, July 29, 2022.

 

1) Focused Research Award
Applications related to the following CEET thematic areas are currently being accepted:

  • Air Pollution and Lung Health
  • Environmental Exposures and Cancer
  • Windows-of-Susceptibility
  • Environmental Neuroscience

 

Applicants can request up to $50,000 for one year. No salary support for the faculty member is allowable. Any standing or research faculty from any Penn School may apply.

 

2) Mentored Scientist Transition Award

Provides up to $50,000 per year in salary support to allow a senior postdoctoral researcher or clinical fellow establish independence in environmental health sciences.

 

3) Opportunity Award

Applications proposing innovative environmental health or toxicology research projects are encouraged. Applicants can request up to $50,000 for one year. No salary support for the faculty member is allowable. Any standing or research faculty from any Penn School may apply.

 

4) Two Types of Rapid Response Awards **IMPORTANT NOTEThe deadline for Rapid Response Applications is Friday, September 2, 2022.**

  • Request to Obtain Needed Preliminary Data - Provides up to $10,000 to obtain needed preliminary data to support a revised grant application to the NIH or other agency.
  • Environmental Justice Rapid Pilot Project - Provides up to $10,000 for research focused on environmental hazards that impact environmental justice communities.

 

Rapid Response applications are due Friday, September 2, 2022 and will be reviewed within two weeks of submission.
