CEET Rapid Response Pilot Projects

The Center of Excellence in Environmental Toxicology (CEET) is once again accepting  “CEET Rapid Response Pilot Project” applications. These applications are for any investigator in the Standing Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania who seek an investment of 5-10K to obtain urgent preliminary data for a EHS grant application or who wish to respond to a community-based environmental health problem.  

 [1] For urgent preliminary data for EHS grant application.
[2] For community-based participatory research/ community engaged research with community partner, the application must include a  Letter of Support from the Director of the CEET Community Engagement Core and the community partner/organization.
[3] For rapid response to an emergent environmental health challenge.
[4] Fees for use of non-CEET facility Core to support an EHS project

 

 Application:

[1] One-Page: Statement-of -need.; Significance to EHS; Grant application plan
[2] NIH Biosketch of P.I.
[3] Budget and Justification
[4] Vertebrate Animals allowed but IACUC must be in place at time of submission. Applicants must provide IACUC approval
[5] Human Subjects allowed but IRB must be in place at time of submission. 

Applications are due April 1, 2019.

Applications must be submitted in a single PDF to webster@upenn.edu.
Earliest possible start date is May 1.

 PI salary not allowed.

Funding for a Community Partner or Organization has to be well- justified and within the scope of the project.
