Introduction to DNAnexus platform for cloud computing

DNAnexus is a cloud-based platform that provides a secure, scalable computational environment for large scale data analysis.  The platform provides a graphical user interface as well as a command-line interface.  This makes it flexible for a wide variety of researchers.  The platform has a variety of tools available for genetics, genomics, statistical analysis, image analysis, machine learning, and more. A researcher can also develop and install their own analysis tool on the platform.

We will be holding an introductory session to the DNAnexus platform on Friday, March 11th at 1pm ET.  This session is intended to provider the community with familiarity with the platform and what types of analyses are possible.  After this intro session, there will be an opportunity to sign up for hands-on training sessions.

If you are interested in learning more about DNAnexus, please send an email to marylyn@pennmedicine.upenn.edu and kia.speaks@pennmedicine.upenn.edu.  We will make sure you receive the link to the zoom session.  This introductory session is open to faculty, students, postdocs, staff, fellows, etc.  Anyone who is interested in learning more is welcome to attend.
