Leadership & Legal Issues in Health Care (HCIN 6120-001)

Dean Ted Ruger & Michael Useem, PhD

 

This 6-week course pairs two 3-week topics. In the first half of the course, course taught by Penn Law's Dean Theodore Ruger, students will examine the legal and regulatory aspects of the United States health care delivery and financing systems. In the second half taught by Dr. Useem, you will focus on the concepts, experience, and skills for leading organizational development and change in health care organizations. Penn faculty and staff members are invited to take this 6-week long, online graduate course. Each week follows a pattern of asynchronous learning through brief videos, readings, written discussions with classmates, and real-world projects and assignments, plus a 1-hour synchronous class. Penn employees may use tuition benefits towards this course. This course is part of the Master of Health Care Innovation (MHCI) curriculum. A 4-course Certificate for Penn faculty and staff is also available.
