The Biomedical Library is launching a new Health Sciences Teaching Faculty guide.  The guide brings together a number of resources that can help you as you construct your course content.  Many of our resources allow you to embed images and video that can enhance/supplement the content you share with your students.

Each resource listed includes a description and highlights the type of content available (videos, images, procedures, etc.)  A few examples of the resources include:

• Acland’s Video Atlas of Human Anatomy – delivers more than 300 narrated videos of cadaver specimens.
• ClinicalKey – Contains clinical overviews, drug monographs, procedure info, etc.  Includes graphics from textbooks and procedure videos.
• Henry Stewart Talks – provider of specially prepared, animated, online, audio-visual lectures, seminar-style talks and case studies for medical schools, business schools universities and commercial enterprises.

The guide includes links to permission instructions for using and citing the various resources’ content in an educational setting.

The guide also outlines services offered by the Biomedical Library to support your instruction.  Librarians can provide classroom presentations or individual or small groups consultations on information retrieval topics, assist with finding supplemental content for your course, and even help you produce 3D models or mini-videos that can be used as instructional aids.
