New Course: Health Disparities to Equity & Global Population Health

Improve the way health care is delivered and gain skills to apply immediately in your daily work. PSOM faculty and staff are invited to enroll in online, graduate-level courses from the Dept. of Medical Ethics and Health Policy. You may use tuition benefits towards these courses. Enroll in a course or two, or take 4 courses to earn a Certificate in Health Care Innovation. Credits earned may be transferred into the online Master of Health Care Innovation degree.

New! Health Disparities to Equity & Improving Global Population Health (1 CU)

Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, MD, MBA; Harsha Thirumurthy, PhD

6 weeks: April 30-June 10, 2019 (ONLINE)

This is a pairing of two 3-week course topics. In the first half taught by Dr. Lavizzo-Mourey, you will review causes of and policy approaches for health disparities and examine strategies for improving health equity through case studies and policy analysis. In the second half taught by Dr. Thirumurthy, you will apply an economics perspective to topics related to health in low- and middle-income countries and examine policy solutions to improving population health in these countries.
