New to Penn?  Schedule a consult with a librarian at the Biotech Commons.

The librarians at the Biotech Commons often hear from our users “Why didn’t anyone tell me about this?”.  It can be difficult to reach everyone when a new resource is purchased by the Penn Library system.  One of the easiest ways to learn what’s available is to schedule a consult with a librarian.  It’s especially helpful for new faculty coming on board at Penn.

We can share with you:

  • The best way to access all of our e-journals/books from anywhere.
  • What databases might be important to search in your field.
  • How to setup a Penn-licensed subscription to the New York Times.
  • How to streamline your systematic review project using the Penn-licensed Covidence program.
  • How to manage your references using the Penn-licensed EndNote software.
  • Our newly renovated study and teaching spaces in the Biotech Commons.
  • Poster and 3D printing services.
