Dear Faculty Colleagues,

I am excited to share with you that the proposed revisions to the criteria for appointment, reappointment, and promotion in the Academic Clinician (AC) Track were passed by the faculty at a vote of 413 yes and 44 no.

I want to thank the members of the Committee who were so thoughtful in their approach to these revisions that will broaden the options for faculty to progress and be promoted. The AC track is very important to the missions of Penn Medicine so it is critical that the criteria for appointment, reappointment, and promotion are aligned with the roles and responsibilities of faculty in it.

These changes will apply to any faculty actions beginning after September 1, 2018.
