The Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation (CHCI) is currently accepting applications for its Innovation Accelerator and the Health-Tech Design and Development program run in partnership with Penn Health-Tech.   

Innovation Accelerator Program – Apply by March 5

The Innovation Accelerator Program supports faculty and staff in their efforts to develop, test, and implement new approaches to improve health care delivery and patient outcomes.

Participating teams receive:  

• Training on innovation methodology   
• Staffing: Innovation advisors dedicate 40 percent of their time to the project  
• Funding: Up to $10,000 to test and develop concepts in phase one  
• Recognition and additional support: Teams present to health system leadership and payer executive teams for the opportunity to receive additional investment  

Applications must be submitted by 5 PM on March 5 for consideration.

Health-Tech Design and Development Program – Apply by April 6

The Health-Tech Design and Development program empowers faculty and staff to develop and commercialize medical devices and health technologies to advance health and health care.

Participating teams receive:  

• Funding  
• Hands-on advising to support product development and achieve proof of concept  
• Access to industry experts and complementary programs to assist with engineering and design, manufacturing, regulatory guidance, quality systems, and marketing  

This program is co-sponsored by Penn Health-Tech and the Acceleration Lab at CHCI.
