Sign up to be a faculty mentor for women medical students!

The Elizabeth Blackwell Society (EBS) is a student organization that works to promote women’s leadership in medicine and strives to create a cohesive network of Penn Medicine women, including students, residents, and faculty.

Every year, EBS organizes a Faculty Mentorship Program in which women physicians are paired with women medical students. (Our definition of “women” includes all who identify as women regardless of sex or gender assigned at birth.) Faculty mentors serve as trusted advisors to help students navigate their personal and professional experiences at Perelman and beyond.

If you choose to participate, we will match you with a student mentee in September. After facilitating faculty-student pairings, we will send periodic updates and discussion topics. We will provide recommendations on how to structure your mentorship experience, but the frequency and nature of your meetings are entirely up to you and your mentee.

If you are interested in serving as a faculty mentor this year, please fill out this quick and easy form below by Friday, August 26th: https://forms.office.com/r/SBvmg64PYv

Thank you, and please feel free to contact Ellie Bernstein (elizabeth.bernstein@pennmedicine.upenn.edu) if you have any questions.
