During the winter months, we encounter inclement weather that forces schools to close for the day. As a benefit, The University of Pennsylvania offers Snow Day Child Care at the Penn’s Children Center. Snow Day Child Care provides all day care for children of Penn faculty and staff members when the University is open but Philadelphia public schools are closed due to inclement weather. Children attending school in all school districts are eligible BUT only when the Philadelphia public schools are closed.

In order to take advantage of this benefit, you must register for Snow Day Child Care before there is a snow day. Registration forms will not be accepted on the day the service is needed. As space is limited and on a first come, first served basis, it is important to complete the online application in advance.
