In this first-of-its-kind symposium, top researchers across Penn Medicine will gather in one location to discuss some of the fundamental ethical questions that arise at the frontiers of research today and how best to navigate, in step with the IRB, increasingly complex protocols of the 21st century.

Topics will include the use of financial incentives, broad consent and data governance, and conflicts of interest when invention and clinical care overlap.

Accreditation: In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Designation of Credit-Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
