Virtual Event on Violence Prevention

We are excited to announce that the Office of Inclusion Diversity and Equity and the Special Interest Group on Health Equity and Health Disparities is sponsoring an upcoming virtual event on Violence Prevention, featuring guest speaker Deborah Prothrow-Stith, MD, Dean and Professor of Medicine for the College of Medicine at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science.

Dr. Prothrow-Stith is a renowned expert in public health and has dedicated her career to the prevention of violence, especially among adolescents. She has authored several books, including "Deadly Consequences: How Violence Is Destroying Our Teenage Population and a Plan to Begin Solving the Problem."

The virtual event will take place on March 8th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and is open to everyone. Dr. Prothrow-Stith will share her expertise on violence prevention and offer practical strategies to help promote healthy and safe communities.
