2021 Pearl and Philip Basser Innovation Research Award
The Basser Center for BRCA has established the Pearl and Philip Basser Innovation Research Award to honor an early career investigator conducting innovative BRCA-related research at the University of Pennsylvania. Candidates will be considered from across a variety of disciplines including basic science, translational and clinical researchers. The award provides the recipient with a $40,000 one year, unrestricted research grant. Nominees can be at the level of Instructor through Assistant Professor. Recipients can only receive the award once.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: Request for Applications-Basser Center Internal Grants for Penn Investigators
The Basser Center will review and consider any application on any area of research relevant to increasing our understanding of BRCA1 and BRCA2 and improving clinical care for individuals carrying BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations. Example areas of research might include basic science of BRCA1/2 function and haploinsuffiency, population science studies including BRCA1/2 mutation carriers, translational science around understanding tumor biology or relevant drug development.
