IMPORTANT: Changes to ACRP clinical research courses in Knowledge Link
Dear clinical research colleagues,
We are reaching out to notify you that starting January 1st, Sunday 2023, many clinical research training modules from the Office of Clinical Research changed platforms and the way you access them. The Office of Clinical Research was only recently notified of this change, and had very little choice on the abrupt timing of this move from the content provider, ACRP.
We recognize that this may be disruptive, and apologize for the inconvenience.
OCR’s clinical research training content provider ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals) has changed their training website of choice, from Pro-ficiency to Moodle Workplace.
This will impact courses and curricula most taken by Penn’s clinical research staff. This includes, but not limited to:
Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Simulation – OCR Penn CR: Onboarding Program Penn Clinical Research (CR): Monitoring Onboarding Program Penn CR: Certification Program
The impact is the following:
- You may be re-directed from Knowledge Link to ACRP’s new training website when you take one of their clinical research courses
- If you had not completed ACRP modules by December 31st 2022, you may lose continuity in the new platform. You may be asked to start the module all over again.
Please see the attached Guide on how to navigate this change once you find a course of choice in Knowledge Link. This will walk you through steps with attached screenshots.
